Visual Research

Image sourcing, photography curation, and rights licensing for editorial features at MR PORTER Journal, Trippin, and Vogue (Condé Nast). Work spans fine art photography (estates, foundations, galleries), entertainment IP (film stills, studio rights), runway and fashion calendar imagery (IMAXtree and beyond), and multi-discipline publishing rights from broadcast, publisher, gallery, theatre, and archive.

Five Ways To Freshen Up Your Work Wardrobe In 2020
2020
The Task

Visual research and runway image sourcing for a MR PORTER Journal feature reading the AW20 menswear shows as a work wardrobe forecast, published February 2020, within weeks of the Milan and Paris men's shows. Working to a tight editorial turnaround to license runway imagery from the shows immediately after they ran.

The Outcome

Sourced and licensed runway stills across fifteen shows from the AW20 men's calendar (Berluti, Bode, Casablanca, Dior, Dries Van Noten, Fendi, Givenchy, Gucci, JW Anderson, Louis Vuitton, Off-White, Prada, Raf Simons, Vetements, and 1017 ALYX 9SM), working through IMAXtree, the primary runway photo agency, and individual photographer credits including Salvatore Dragone, Alessandro Lucioni, Daniele Oberrauch, Isidore Montag, and Armando Grillo. Demonstrates runway image licensing as a distinct visual research discipline: fast-turnaround, agency-led, time-bound to the editorial cycle of the fashion calendar.
